Citizenship training from an artistic-pedagogical conception in schoolchildren of artistic education.

Abstract
Citizenship training in art education students is a topic of growing relevance in the Cuban educational context, especially in the José María Heredia Heredia Professional School of Art. The integration of an artistic-pedagogical conception in education seeks not only to develop artistic skills, but also to promote civic and social values. The objective is: to analyze how an artistic-pedagogical conception can contribute to the citizenship training of sixth-grade students of the dance specialty. The methodology is qualitative approach was used, using techniques such as interviews with teachers and students, participant observation in dance classes and analysis of curricular documents. The sample included several sixth-graders to obtain a representative view. The results indicate that the integration of artistic activities with pedagogical approaches focused on citizenship education has had a positive impact on schoolchildren. An increase in active participation in community projects, increased awareness of social issues, and improved teamwork and conflict resolution skills were observed. The artistic-pedagogical conception is presented as an effective tool for the citizenship training of schoolchildren in artistic education. This not only enriches artistic learning, but also strengthens the development of civic competencies essential for life in society.
