Usability and Accessibility of Websites in Manabi Universities for Users with Visual Disabilities according to ISO/IEC 40500 Standard

Abstract

The main focus of this work is to carry out a systematic review, with the use of the TAW tool, which provided us with the required values to evaluate the usability and accessibility of the Manabitas Universities' websites in terms of: perceptibility, operability, in addition to are understandable and robust. Web accessibility makes it easier for all people to perceive, understand, navigate and interact with the web. This work performs an accessibility analysis for users with visual disabilities, according to the ISO / IEC 40500 standard. Taking into account the extended criteria of Nielsen's heuristics, clear criteria and equitable bases are provided, to make the due weighting and presentation of the results. in percentages, the same that can be easily interpreted.
