Benefits of Implementing Smart Bus Stops in the City of Manta Using IOT Devices

Abstract

The present work aims to present reflections on various milestones raised in the search for the improvement of urban public transportation with the application of smart bus stops and smart transportation systems. The The research used is of a bibliographic type and in it the methods were used: inductive, deductive and documentary analysis; the review included proposals for a system of smart transportation, passenger assistants, tracking and monitoring technologies, smart buses, technological tools and IoT devices applied in this stage. In addition, 250 users who use public transport in the City of Manta were surveyed.
