World trade has always evolved hand in hand with inventions, the rise of the digital age that we are currently living in has come to change many traditional patterns, not only in the economic, financial, trade in goods and services, but also in behavior of people and therefore of the consumption of products. With globalization and the internet, access to digital devices, therefore to information and the development of platforms that facilitate access to the online market created the right environment for cryptocurrencies to appear as a response to distrust in the centralized media of the world. Cash flow, however, being a new market its volatility still creates uncertainty as to whether it could become a means of payment for largescale international trade transactions. This work seeks to take the most relevant aspects involved in this process and provide an answer to this question.
