Abstract

Various studies currently carried out around the world demonstrate the relationship between untreated
mental disorders with absenteeism from work, low productivity, increased accidents, labor conflicts and
poor relationships with co-workers and bosses. That is why the purpose of this research is to analyze the
incidence of mental health in labor productivity. To fulfill this purpose, the methodology of a review article,
documentary research of a monographic type, was assumed. Obtaining as a result, that mental health is a
basic component of personal and work productivity. Healthy workers are more productive. Productivity and
work quality go beyond keeping a schedule, it implies the intention and purpose of what is done, directly
intervening motivation and desire. When having mental health, there is a balance between what is expected, what is desired and what is had, increasing productivity not only at work but in all areas of life.
