Analysis of the International Cooperation of the German NGO “Schutzwald” with Communities of the Gulf of Guayaquil

Abstract

The present research work is fundamental to publicize how international cooperation is handled through the non-governmental intervention of organizations as agents of sup- port towards development. The main objective has been to analyze the management of the German NGO Schutzwald cooperating with the communities of the gulf of Guayaquil through its work as technical assistance and its contribution with the voluntary program North – South. As a result, we can highlight the contribution of this organization as technical support to cover some shortcomings in these sectors that are under an agreement of sustainable use and custody of mangroves. In the same way, we will also highlight the role of the voluntary program implemented in the communities that are part of the concession.
