Some Points for a Comprehensive Reflection on the Hearing Impairment, the Use of Hearing Aids and Cochlear Implants

Abstract
This article identifies aspects of interest related to hearing aids and the technological revolution that has led to the development of cochlear implants to better respond to the needs and requirements of the diversity of the hearing impaired population, especially for the deaf. In this context, some points are highlighted for educational reflection. At the same time the need to promote teamwork, with a comprehensive approach to encourage greater use of the possibilities these technological advances presuppose is emphasized. To this end, not only clinical or audiological criteria must be taken into account, but also the role that teachers, different specialists and families should play as an indispensable part of a teamwork.
