Abstract

The objective of this work was to determine the anthropometric characteristics of 1,400 students, 70 teachers and 30 workers between administrative and operational of the Higher Technological University Training Institute of the city of Guayaquil. Of which 313 people were surveyed, thus meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria, constituting the study cohort. For his, a survey was developed where the following conclusions were obtained, that 114 people, representing 36.42%, are overweight, and 87 people, representing 27.8%, are found to have
some degree of obesity, this means that that our populations from the Higher University Training Institute have bad eating habits, some attributed to the pandemic process experienced in addition to the cultural aspect of the type of diet.
