Educación para la Ciudadanía Global como Enfoque Interdisciplinario: Retos y Proyecciones para la Innovación Educativa

Resumen

La Educación para la Ciudadanía Global (ECG) ha cobrado relevancia como respuesta a los desafíos contemporáneos que enfrenta la humanidad, tales como el cambio climático, la desigualdad social y los conflictos interculturales. Este ensayo se justifica en la necesidad de promover un enfoque educativo interdisciplinario que forme ciudadanos críticos, solidarios y comprometidos con el desarrollo sostenible. El objetivo principal es analizar la ECG como marco interdisciplinario, destacando su potencial para transformar modelos educativos. Se adopta una metodología de tipo teórica-documental, basada en la revisión crítica de literatura académica reciente (2015–2024) y el análisis de experiencias internacionales y latinoamericanas. Los principales hallazgos evidencian que la ECG, al integrar diversas disciplinas, promueve un aprendizaje holístico y significativo, alineado con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible. Asimismo, se identifican obstáculos en su implementación, como la falta de formación docente, barreras curriculares y tensiones entre enfoques pedagógicos tradicionales y transformadores. Se concluye que la ECG, comprendida como un marco interdisciplinario, no solo contribuye a la innovación educativa, sino que también ofrece fundamentos para políticas públicas en marcos curriculares y formación integral interdisciplinar en los estudiantes.
