Literature review of investigative trajectories on Theological and Religious educational scientific articles in Latin America on the Google Scholar Databe (2018-2024).

Abstract

The redaction of scientific articles on theological topics shows a sample of the identity of Latin American authors, their objectives, doubts, and goals to be achieved within the scope of theological understanding and religious education. This research aims to generate a current review of the academic production published between the years 2018- 2024 in Latin America. This literature review selected 14 scientific articles as a sample. The methodology used was carried out through the systematic review of the Google Scholar database in the Latin American region, the selection of review articles with themes of theology and religious education, and the concise description of the findings. The review allows us to conclude that the major research trends are directed at studies of the theology of liberation as well as a critical and pluricultural religious education, and the reasons for these trends are due, for the most part, to contemporary publishing contexts based on an own identity that seeks a human formation developed to the social change and the union of cultures.
